Last Friday, April 26th at the Technology Hub, with the support of Frente Norte, a press conference was held by Binmatter, a firm specialized in the development of video games and Augmented Reality applications and with a team of visionary video game lovers, led by its founders Victor Talamantes and Sandra Barrón. This Juarense company has not only worked for multinationals such as Sixflags, Cinemex and Coca-Cola, but is also about to revolutionize family entertainment with its new platform and mobile application: FIESTA.Live.

A Journey of Technological Innovation

The development of FIESTA.Live has been a process of more than 4 years of intense work and dedication. Starting in September 2018 and with a full-time team of seven members has taken this idea from its conception to its launch, scheduled for next May 2, 2024. This Game as a Service app offers a variety of Mario Party-style trivia games and mini-games, allowing users to use their cell phones as controllers while projecting the game environment on their website, which can be projected on any TV and thus facilitating group interaction.

During the press conference, the joy and satisfaction were palpable in the expressions of Binmatter's founders. Sandra Barron highlighted how the challenges faced since the company's founding provided valuable lessons, such as structuring a company from scratch, training staff and mastering finances along with social media marketing. These challenges, according to Sandra, were just stepping stones that allowed them to get to where they are today.

Victor Talamantes addressed one of the main technical challenges during the development of FIESTA.Live: the imperative need for the platform to operate remotely, a particularly critical requirement during the pandemic. He revealed that the team had to design and develop a robust server that would act as a relay, ensuring that games could be enjoyed from different locations and without interruption. This key functionality not only solved a technical problem but also prepared the platform for future scaling, allowing it to support dozens of simultaneous games without affecting the quality of service. The team's confidence in the success of FIESTA.Live is so great that they are already anticipating and preparing the infrastructure to scale and accommodate a significant increase in the number of users.
