(Ferter, Talent Land 2023)

Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, was the epicenter of an unparalleled event. Talent Land 2023, brought together experts from a variety of industries and from different parts of the world to share their experiences and knowledge.Recognizing the importance of Talent Land, at Ferter, we took this remarkable opportunity to immerse ourselves in the energy of innovation and entrepreneurship. Our purpose was clear: to learn from the entrepreneurs and panelists, connect with like-minded individuals, and contribute to the growth and prosperity of the ecosystem.Four days into Talent Land, we found ourselves surrounded by creative minds and young talents. The whole event was charged with inspiration, we learned about innovative ideas, forged meaningful connections, and explored cutting-edge technologies. Talent Land 2023 allowed each participant to expand their horizons, and broaden their focus personally and professionally. The event was divided into 9 themed lands: Developer Land, Blockchain Land, Business Land, Creative Land, Gamer Land, Health Land, and two new lands dedicated to the technological future: Food Land and Travel Land.

In Business Land we learned from various speakers such as:

David Boligan, commercial director of Apollo 25, a PR, marketing, and design consulting firm where they work with unicorns and high-impact startups. In a new stage titled “Talent Woman”, where the aim was to make visible the women participating in technology and innovation industries, Paulina Madrigal (Senior Analyst at Polygono Capital) and Azul Pasos, representatives of Woman Up, were present. This community seeks to increase collaboration and representation of women in the venture capital ecosystem.

On the Main Stage, we saw panelists such as:

  • Alfonso Pompa Padilla, head of the Secretaria de Innovación, Ciencia y Tecnología of the state of Jalisco.
  • Sophia Robot, from Hanson Robotics, the world's first robot citizen and the first robot Innovation Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme.
  • Martha Debayle, radio host, TV presenter, and entrepreneur. In her talk "How to Achieve the life you desire," she shared her experience, reflections on her ventures, and how to make things happen by design, not by accident.
  • Farid Dieck, writer and speaker originally from Monterrey Nuevo Leon, co-founder of the creative agency Porciento dedicated to the creation of digital content. In his lecture titled "Dopamine", he shared 8 tips to provoke eureka moments and creative experiences.

A mix of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit were present in every interaction. We enjoyed the opportunity to learn and interact with the ecosystem, exchange ideas, and establish relationships with brilliant minds who shared our passion for driving change and fostering growth.

Talent Land 2023 enabled us to connect, collaborate, and contribute. As witnesses to the limitless potential and the hunger for innovation, we felt even more motivated to promote the development of the ecosystem in Mexico and foster its prosperous future.
